About Randy Scheckler

Developed by Google and long touted as a JPEG successor, the WebP format offers lossless compression in addition to slightly superior lossy compression to JPEG. Additionally, it adds the ability to create images with transparency that JPEG lacks.

allows to set the compression strength of the transparency independently from the rest of the quality and to sharpen the color edges, which counteracts the 1x1 color subsampling that the WebP format lacks. All settings made can of course be previewed in the browser before the graphic is finally downloaded.

I try to create a sense of wonderment in my photos by allowing the viewer’s thoughts and imagination to wander within the image.

Randy's work really captures the world in a magical way!

His Sunrise and Senset collections are some of my favorites.  Sublime.
